At PODS, the laboratories, conference centre, restaurant, and underwater
galleries will attract signifi cant additional visitors to the Pender Harbour

area, and bolster the year-round local economy. More tourists and increased

employment opportunities will keep businesses viable throughout the winter
months and encourage families and young people to consider making Pender

Harbour their permanent home.
