PUBLIC PRESENTATIONS AND STRATEGIC PLANNING MEETINGS
The first public announcement of the PODS Enterprise was made on July 4th by Dr.
Michael Jackson, at an anniversary celebration of the Sargeant Bay Society. The Lagoon
Society helped to organize this event and engaged children and youth in many different
mentoring activities.
On July 21st, the Lagoon Society met with the treasurer of School District 46 Nicolas
Westwick, to discuss the school board property adjacent to Madeira Government Dock.
This meeting was one of our first forays into investigating potential sites for the future
PODS facilities.
On August 5th, we had our first meeting with Jeremiah Deutscher, Lead Architect from
Deutscher Architecture to discuss the PODS concept. Jeremiah would eventually
become our lead architect on the PODS project. Rachel Forbes from Sharp-Six organized
this meeting.
